3-Day Lake Mburo(Whispers of the Wild) Adventure

Overview:

Lake Mburo National Park is a very special place. It contains an extensive area of wetland and also harbours several species of mammals and birds. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with eland, impala and klipspringer. It is also home to the largest population of zebra in Uganda. Buffalo, waterbuck, topi and warthog are also very common. Reedbuck and oribi can also be spotted in the open valleys. Hyena, warthogs and white tailed mongoose are often seen on night game drives.

Itinerary:

Arrival

• You’ll be collected from the airport.
• Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

 Day 1:

Transfer to Lake Mburo national park which a 3-4 hours drive from Entebbe. Your guide will make a photography stop at the equator line for some picture moments at the 0 latitude before you proceed to igongo cultural center for a hot lunch. At igongo we shall also have a cultural experience at the eclipse monument before proceeding to the lake mburo gates. Our guide will take us direct to our lodge for a days rest as we prepare for the next day activities.

 Day 2

We shall have an early rise with breakfast so that we have an early game drive. An early gave drive for about 3 hours gives us higher chances of seeing wildlife like the elands which are the largest antelop spices and endemics of lake mburo, oribis, dik diks, leopards, lion, giraffs, hippos, buffaloes and plenty of bird spices. Our guide will then drive you to the docking point and here you can have your packed lunch as you wait for the afternoon boat cruise. While on the cruise, you stand chances of seeing some wildlife resting by the water banks like the waterbucks, hippos, crocodiles and lots of bird species if chanced even the African skimmer which has one amazing hunting skill with its uneven beak. After the relaxing boat cruise, the guide will drive you back to the lodge for a relaxing evening with dinner. The guide will brief us on what set off time is for the next day and what our day may comprise of.

 Day 3

Today is when we transfer back to Entebbe from lake mburo a 3-4 hour drive back. We shall have a stop at the equator for a hot meal and souvenir shopping before we embark on our journey to Entebbe where our trip ends.
