Overview

On this safari, we take you on a natural yet cultural tour of your life. We take you to South western Uganda where Uganda holds the Toro Kingdom that has a King currently. The tour also takes you to an ancient history of the Bachwezi dynasty at the Amabere Ganyinamwiru cultural site and a nature marvel of the female and male hot springs found within Semuliki National Park a dense forest that boarders Uganda with Congo, gifted with both Uganda and Congo bird species a true haven for birdwatchers.

Itinerary

Arrival

  • You’ll be collected from the airport.
  • Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the Safaricare team shall pick you up and give you a brief about Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.

We shall have an early rise around 8:00 am breakfast before we start our journey to Fort Portal in South Western Uganda. The journey is approximately 315.4 km a drive of about 4-5 hours. We shall have our lunch in Fort Portal town before we take a nice drive around the Toro Kingdom Palace and adventure within Fort Portal town. While at the hotel, our guide will brief us on what we shall need to prepare well for the next day before we enjoy the day’s rest and sunset views.

 Day 2

We shall have an early rise at 7:30 am for our breakfast then drive for about 1 hour to the True Birders Haven Semuliki National Park, Here we shall be offered gumboots for a nature walk to the female hot springs and later to the male hot springs, we shall also be offered some boiled eggs for boiling at the hot spring and some minutes photos and selfies plus a brief history of the hot springs by our site guide. We shall also take a game drive to Semiliki National Park. Drive to Fort Portal town to our hotel for some lunch. Immediately after our lunch, we shall drive to Amabere Ganyinamwiru just 10 minutes away from the hotel for yet another History of the Bachwezi dynasty, a view of the beautiful hidden waterfalls, and a hike to the top to view the beautiful crater lakes surrounding this beautiful town. After this beautiful day, we shall then return to our hotel refresh, and have some dinner, you can also choose to have dinner outside the hotel and experience Fort Portal cuisines.

Day 3

We shall have an early rise, have breakfast and our guide will drive us back to Entebbe Via Kampala, where you will experience our kind of urban life, how the traffic in the city looks like, how do people live around the city and then we shall head to Entebbe International Airport where the trip will officially end.

Accommodation after the safari can be arranged at an extra cost.
